Jib Cranes

Jib cranes are used for repetitive lifting in tighter working areas. They can be used in conjunction with other cranes to increase lifting capabilities as well.  Offering up to 360 degrees of rotation and enormous spans. Simple operation and better space utilization. They can be floor or wall mounted and even outdoors. As with any other crane, these are endlessly customizable to meet your specific lifting needs.

What is the purpose of a jib on a crane?

A jib (also called a boom) is the horizontal beam attached to the column of a crane. While the column gives the structure support and the hoist lifts objects, the jib can rotate and lift, moving the load or hoist.

What are the disadvantages of jib cranes?

Jib cranes must be attached to a solid structure, such as a wall or ground, for support, which can be limiting in some facilities. Additionally, jib cranes may not be able to lift as much as overhead cranes.
